Essay

Life, love and passion are their source of strength and vitality

Trapped into a corner and unable to find a hiding place for Seung-nyang, Ta-hwan quickly fills his tub with rose petals.  With no other option, she hides in the tub, while he pretends to be bathing.  Running out of air and at the point of unconsciousness, Ta-hwan plunges down, placing his mouth on hers and passes air to Seung-nyang. On the brink of dying, her limp body receives a life-giving kiss. He has breathed life into her, by sharing himself with her.

One scene that clearly stands out when talking about the TaNyang Couple is the CPR Kiss. This kiss represents the rejuvenating nature of their relationship. This is compounded by the ambiance of the scenery, and the warm red color of the petals that surrounds them. The scene hinted at the fact that although they face situations filled with danger, Ta-hwan’s warmth and passionate love will bring Seung-nyang back to life. 

Likewise, when Ta-hwan thought Seung-nyang was dead, he regressed into a shell of a man. He had quit living and developed aphasia, thereby rendering him unable to speak.  Yet when he saw her again, Ta-hwan's speech immediately returned. He began to live again... Seung-nyang's mere presence brought him back to life. 

There is a restorative force between these two which strengthens them.  Despite the fact that their present environment is designed to break them, the TaNyang Couple finds solace in each other by building each other up. Their support extends farther than companionship, or merely catching the other when they fall. They are the salve for the other's wound. Instead of being the one to pull the other out of the darkness, they are each other’s light source in the dark place they must call home.

Watching these two, it is clear to us that they are fated to be together. Despite the fact that SeungNyang delayed her destiny as a tribute and avoided going to Yuan, the thread of fate that binds them together brought him to her, instead of she to him. There is an intense push and pull between them and we cannot deny how much they care for each other. They do not limit it to words, but show it through action. Even during the times when SeungNyang knows she is supposed to hate him, she cannot rationalize her heart. Even when she is determined to leave him, the literal act of walking away brings tears to her eyes. Correspondingly, TaHwan cannot turn away from her. Even when pushed away, he remained by her side, supporting, protecting, and loving her. Ready to give everything dear to him up for her, his love shines though. They have a bond that cannot be broken no matter how many obstacles have been thrown their way. Their hearts gravitate towards each other.  Despite the forces against them, they are inseparable. With each trial they endured together, their bond only became stronger, to the extent that they now will not let go of each other’s hand.

TaHwan is hers...  and Seung-nyang is his.

Story : Do Ha (Go Sung Hee), Lee Rin (Jung Il Woo), Moo Seok (Jung Yun Ho) and Chul Joo are a team of Night Watchmen who work from 9pm to 5am every night protecting the people of Chosun under the king's secret orders, solving unexplainable cases that involves the realms of the supernatural.

Lee Rin (Jung Il Woo) is a rogue royal prince who is used to masking his insecurities and the deep hurt in his heart with his wild and rebellious ways until an sudden incident gave him the ability to see supernatural beings. Armed with his new sense of sight and ability, he volunteers to be a part of a team of Night Watchmen who patrols the streets from night to dawn to protect the Chosun people from the evil ghosts and beings which hunts for innocent preys and redress the grievousness of those whom died wrongfully. Growing mentally and emotionally as he solves the cases he became involved in and witnessing of the hardships of the citizens, Lee Rin began to change his attitude towards life and faces his destiny with his new found courage.

Moo Seok (Jung Yun Ho) is a bodyguard who serves the rogue prince, Lee Rin. He grew up under the strictest education and martial arts training to become the best swordsman in Chosun. He is a man of few words but women are drawn to him despite his coldness towards them. His icy heart began to thaw with the chance encounter of Do Ha but falling for her means that he has to compete for her hand against Prince Lee Rin whom he is currently serving.

Do Ha (Go Sung Hee) is the successor of the Ma Go tribe whom are the protectors of the Baek Do mountains' spirits energy for generations. She is a warm, kind-hearted girl who travels to Han Yang, the capital of Chosun searching  for the night watchmen who are destined to bear the fate of the Ma Go tribe. And though a twist of fate, she gets entangled in a triangular love relationship with the hot-blooded Lee Rin who is hot like fire and his bodyguard "Moo Seok" who is as cold as ice.

Park Soo Ryun (Seo Ye Ji) is the daughter of court officer, Park Soo Jong and despite her sweet and harmless appearance as a virtuous girl, she actually harbors strong desires and pride to become the wife of Prince Lee Rin. Therefore she sees Do Ha as a thorn in her flesh who is obstructing from getting what her heart desires.

To make up for his sins, he tries to help Young Shin turn into a famous reporter.

Though it would have been fine to let a dream remain a dream, her life becomes tiring because of rookie reporter Seo Jung Hu who chases her around like a stalker, and the rigorous training that Kim Moon Ho puts her through when he offers to help her realise her dream.
As she gets to know the both of them, unimaginable and dangerous events start happening, and her Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CPRS) starts to connect with her past that draws nearer.

He meets Young Shin and his life starts to get entangled.
He begins to take interest in the world that he once thought he had no feelings for, this is what people say love is.
But the hidden truth of the past is revealed and that love starts to become dangerous.

In this damned world left behind by their parents,
political and societal justice are just unlucky words to them.

But there is one person who will take them forward. Thanks to him…
These children now start to harbour the same dreams as their parents.  A dream to become a real reporter.
But in order to become true reporters, there is a wall that they have to overcome.
This world that their parents have shaped and left behind for them.

Will these children be able to become the real reporters that their parents once dreamt of?

Career

Kim Hee-sun debuted as the MC of SBS's music show Inkigayo in 1993 during her second year of high school,and has since become famous both at home and abroad as one of Korea's most beautiful actresses. She starred as the heroine in many hit trendy dramas in the 1990s, such as Propose and Forever Yours with Ryu Shi-won, Wedding Dress with Lee Seung-yeon, Mister Q with Kim Min-jong and Song Yun-ah, Tomato with Kim Suk-hoon, and Goodbye My Love with Ahn Jae-wook.

Kim also gradually built up a career in film, beginning in 1997 with Repechage opposite Jang Dong-gun. Director Lee Kwang-hoon subsequently put her in his next film, Ghost in Love in 1999. In her most high-profile role to date, Kim played the daughter of a Mongolian general in the big-budget martial arts fantasy Bichunmoo, shot in China and released in the summer of 2000. Although criticized for her acting in the film, it gave her more local and international exposure than any of her other films. Along with her popular TV dramas, it cemented her position as a Korean wave star in mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and throughout Southeast Asia.

In late 2001, Kim took on a completely different kind of role, cutting her hair short and starring as an animator in Wanee & Junah. Although her acting in this film drew a favorable response from critics, the film itself was a flop at the box office. In 2003 her career took a bit of a downturn, when the environmentally-themed melodrama A Man Who Went to Mars (also known as A Letter From Mars), in which she starred with Shin Ha-kyun, proved to be an utter bomb at the box office.^[5] She returned to television in 2005, playing a blind woman in Sad Love Story, which received low ratings.^[6][7][8] But thanks to her popularity among Chinese viewers, she was then cast opposite Jackie Chan in The Myth, for which she learned to speak Mandarin.^[9]

After her 2006 drama Smile Again, Kim got married in 2007, and she left the entertainment scene to devote her time to being a wife and mother. During this five-year hiatus from acting, she only appeared in magazines, and in 2009 she published Kim Hee-sun's Happy Mom Project, a book on childcare and how to lose post-pregnancy weight.^{[11][12][13][14]}

Though she appeared in the 2011 Chinese epic The Warring States,Kim officially made her comeback as a modern-day doctor who time-travels to Goryeo in the 2012 period romance Faith.

In 2013 she became one of the hosts of the revamped second season of variety talk show Strong Heart. Titled Hwasin – Controller of the Heart, her co-MCs were Shin Dong-yup and Yoon Jong-shin 
After Hwasin was cancelled, Kim returned to acting in the 2014 weekend family drama Wonderful Days, written by Lee Kyung-hee.

Biography

So Ji Sub was born on November 4, 1977. He started swimming in an early age. He continued swimming till his high school years. "In high school, I was a swimmer who was doing well. To be precise, I played water polo, which is known as “handball in water.” My skills were known. People would be surprised to hear that I was a national representative of junior water polo. I really enjoyed sports. It’s the same now, but my parents worried a lot because they thought I couldn’t adjust to teamwork because of my introverted personality. But the freedom inside water was a kind of release and escape for me. I parted water without desire, and the feeling I got in my body from it caught me from going into a bad path during my teenage years. Sports was a thankful existence for me. No, it still is my most thankful friend. " 

Having an athletic background, he started modeling to make living. Being an avid fan of hip-hop group Deunx and Kim Seung Jae, he got the opprtunity to do modeling for denim jean with him. The sudden death of Kim Seung Jae was a big shock to him before taking the first step but "Like that, my mind’s idol passed. Ironically, the sudden death of my idol became an opportunity that opened another road for me. I had been supporting cast, but I was suddenly chosen as the main mode". 

Being given the opportunity of starting his modeling work he met his long-time friends Seung Seung Hun and Park Young ha. He made his acting debut in the sitcom Three Guys and Three Girls and drama Model.  But whereas fellow STORM model Song Seung-heon quickly rose to stardom, he had difficulty raising his profile. He appeared in small roles on television throughout the late 1990s and early 2000s, and started to gain popularity when he was cast as the male second lead in Glass Slippers in 2002. "From my debut in 1995 to 2004’s “What Happened in Bali,” I had a nine-year period of obscurity. Back then, the flower-boy style of people like Jang Dong-gun, Han Jae-suk and Song Seung-hun were drawing popularity from the masses. During that time, I heard the phrase “Don’t be an actor” countless times."

So Ji Sub began to show his potential to become a true actor in 2004's What Happened in Bali, but was again overshadowed by co-star Zo In-sung. At the time, So thought he would end up being a supporting actor. But later that year, he had his breakout role as the tragic hero in smash hit I'm Sorry, I Love You. It made him a top star in Korea, as well as all over Asia. "As “What Happened in Bali” and “I’m Sorry, I Love You” became hit after hit, the awareness of the masses toward me changed. They accepted my own distinct charms and gave me love. I think that’s also when I earned the nicknamed ‘So Ganji.’"

He enlisted for mandatory military service in 2005 as a public relations officer with the Mapo District Office, and was discharged on April 27, 2007. He made his comeback in Jang Hoon's directorial debut Rough Cut, in which he played a thug who dreams of becoming an actor. Because of the film's low budget, So and costar Kang Ji-hwan decided to invest their fees back into the movie, and were credited as producers. So's performance was well received by audiences and critics, and the film became a surprise box office hit.

In 2009 he attempted to break into the Japanese and Chinese markets and the results were I'm a ghost which was a 24 5-min episodes and the movie Sophie's revenge. "I wanted to do a bright and cheery role because I've played so many sad and gloomy ones." He acted in drama Cain and Abel the same year.

In 2010 he headlined the big-budget Korean War epic Road No along side Kim Haneul.

He published his first photo essay (The journey of So Ji Sub) about his travels during the summer of 2010. The book includes his encounters with various people such as rapper Tiger JK, novelist Lee Oi-soo, cartoonist Park Jae-dong, artists dusicnddilddil and Korea's youngest bird researcher Jung Da-mi. The book was a big success in Korea.  He was subsequently named the goodwill ambassador of Gangwon Province in an effort to boost tourism there and a 51 km-long trail in the province was named "So Ji-sub Road," which was unveiled to the public on May 20, 2012. He is the first Korean actor to have an entire road named after him.

A professed longtime hip-hop lover, he rapped for two original tracks – Lonely Life and Foolish Love – under the artist pseudonym "G" or "G-Sonic" for the Rough Cut and Cain and Abel soundtracks, respectively. In 2011 he released another digital single Pick Up Line under his own name. Two teaser videos were released, the first one described as a comedic version that featured guest stars Jung Joon-ha (who is a close friend of So's) and Kim Byung-man (whom So named as one of his favorite comedians). The single, along with the music video itself, was released on February 17, 2011, but recorded low sales. 

During 2011 to 2013 he played two other movies "Always" With Hanhyo Joo and A company man. His second photo essay which covers 150 days of filming the movie Always was published in 2012. He published his magazine called SONICe in the same year. Ghost in 2012 was his next drama project which was a mild-hit. 

He experienced his first romantic-comedy role in drama The master's sun which was a mega hit and proved his popularity and acting ability once more.

Los Angeles (AFP) - A US student who had issued chilling warnings on Twitter opened fire in a school cafeteria on Friday, killing at least one person and critically injuring three before taking his own life.

Terrified classmates dived for cover as the gunman, identified by media reports and fellow students as Jaylen Fryberg, launched his attack in a school in the northwestern state of Washington.

Police said the investigation was still ongoing and would likely continue into the early morning Saturday.

"This continues to be an active homicide investigation. We want to make sure we do this right and have all of the right answers," local police spokesman Robb Lamoureux told a press conference late Friday.

As with previous such shootings, the episode revived debate on gun control, even though the gun involved was legally acquired.

"I heard one loud bang and I was wondering what it was. Then I heard about four or five more. People started screaming and people started getting to the ground and going for the nearest exit," said a student identified as Jordan.

"So I hit the ground. But after he'd already put some bullets into the backs of students," he told CNN.

The shooting, just the latest in a long line of such rampages in the United States, erupted in Marysville, 35 miles (55 kilometers) north of Seattle.

Lamoureux declined to identify the shooter or comment on online suggestions, including on Fryberg's social media posts, that the attack might have been triggered by a failed romance.

"The shooter died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound," he said earlier in the day.

Television footage showed swarms of police descending on the Marysville-Pilchuck High School as students, some with hands on heads, came out of the sprawling campus, which has some 2,500 students.

A student identified as Austin told KING 5 television how the gunman was initially "quiet" before opening fire on fellow diners.

"There was just a big group of kids... He was quiet. He was just sitting there. Everyone was talking. All of a sudden I see him stand up, pull something out of his pocket," he said.

"At first I thought it was just someone making a really loud noise with like a bag, like a pretty loud pop until I heard four more after that, and I saw three kids just fall from the table like they were falling to the ground dead."

Fryberg, a Native American, left a series of tortured posts on Twitter, suggesting a teenager used to handling guns, and hinting that a failed romance may have triggered the shooting.

One post on Instagram showed him brandishing a hunting rifle.

"Probably the best BirthDay present ever! I just love my parents!!!!," he posted in a message accompanying the photo.

In his final post on Twitter on Thursday, Fryberg had stated ominously: "It won't last...It'll never last...."

Earlier, in August, he had issued threats to an apparent love rival: "Your not gonna like what happens next."

But some schoolmates voiced shock after the attack by Fryberg, reportedly a popular student.

"When I saw him, I was like, oh my gosh, that's Jaylen. I would have never expected it would have been him out of all people," student Rachel Heichel said.

Joanne Roberts, a doctor at Providence Medical Center, told local TV station KOMO that three young people were in a "very critical condition" after the shooting.

Two female patients were being treated in the Providence ICU while two males were in the ICU at Harborview Medical Center, according to the Marysville Police Department, which said all were under age 18.

CNN reported that one of the boys had been critically injured, while the other was being treated for a jaw injury.

Previous mass shootings, like that which killed 20 children and six adults at an elementary school in Newtown, Connecticut in December 2012, have triggered intense debate about America's relatively lax gun control laws.

The weapon used in Friday's attack was not identified, but Doug Dawson of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) said that it had been "legally acquired," declining to comment further.

Marysville police chief Rick Smith said the shooting should be a wake-up call.

"It's time for us to act, and not just talk anymore," he said.

Jung Joon-young (Hangul: 정준영 Hanja: 鄭俊英 born February 21, 1989) is a Korean rock singer, songwriter and radio DJ, who was born in Indonesia, but raised in China, Europe (England and France) and the Philippines. Jung has lived in ten different countries because his father was an international business man. He had a lonely childhood but learned how to speak five different languages such as English, Chinese, Japanese, Filipino and Korean.

When he taught songs to the children in Philippines at the age of seventeen, he started his dream to be a rock star. He went to South Korea at the age of 19 and assembled his own band "Flowermist" (later "Switch-on") and performed in amateur club theatres as well as busked on the streets in Japan. To achieve his goal of becoming a rock star he worked as a model and appeared on television.

Jung Joon-Young finished in third place on Superstar K4 and since then he has been doing concerts, TV and radio programs(as a guest or a host) and modeling for cars, clothes, games and N-screen. From May 6, 2013, he worked as a DJ for MBC FM4U Close Friend until September 1, 2013. He has appeared on several TV shows including KBS2's "Immortal Song-Singing the Legend 불후의 명곡", "Happy Together 해피투게더" and MBC's "We Got Married 우리결혼했어요" and has been emerging as a versatile entertainer recently.

After signing with CJ E&M, Jung Joon-young released his first debut single "Spotless Mind (병이에요)" with two versions of Music Video(N version and S version) on Oct 01, 2013 and immediately made an impact on the country’s charts. Just an hour after release, “Spotless Mind” nabbed the top spot on Mnet, Bugs and Soribada etc.

• I’m Australian, so I use British English (deal with it!)
• Not all inside jokes were translated cause I still don’t understand them how much I try
• OST: means the original music soundtrack for a drama. I didn’t write this one on top cause most people already know 
• Panic disorder: Although news articles referring to this interview call it panic disorder, in English it’s diagnosed as anxiety disorder. There’s a distinct difference between panic and anxiety and her symptoms would be classified as anxiety. (I’m a pharmacy student so its important to me) 
• Irritable bowel syndrome: I didn’t put notes up for irritable bowel syndrome cause they explain what it is in the show anyways.

Omg THANKS for waiting guys! PHEW! I'm tired lol and now I need to study for my finals lol! The reason why it took longer than expected was because omg you wouldn't believe the hardest part of it all would be encoding but it seriously is, so the delay was because I was trying to find the best settings to hardsub everything. I've never done it before and it was a huge learning curve for me. Actually this entire project was cause I've only ever been a timer! And then it was a looooooong waiting game, for the encoding and then the uploading, then the re-encoding cause Dailymotion only accepts files that are less than an hour UGH

BUT TIS DONE YAY!
